How to Use Motul Chain Maintenance Kit (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. Secure the Motorcycle: Place the motorcycle firmly on its center stand or a paddock stand on a flat surface so that the rear wheel can spin completely free. Ensure the engine is switched off.

   ⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: Always rotate the rear wheel purely by hand. Never, under any circumstances, start the motorcycle and put it in gear to spin the wheel while cleaning or lubing the chain. This can cause severe, life-altering finger injuries.

2. Apply C1 Chain Clean: Shake the C1 canister thoroughly. Spray the cleaner directly along the inside and outside lengths of the lower chain run while rotating the rear wheel by hand. Let the solvent soak into the links for 5 minutes.

3. Scrub the Grime: Use a dedicated three-sided motorcycle chain brush to scrub away stubborn, caked-on mud and black grease crust from all four sides of the links.
